The PILATUS BAHNEN AG opens up Mount Pilatus from two sides with tourist cableways. From Kriens, Mount Pilatus can be reached all year round with a gondola lift and an aerial cable car. From May to mid-November, the steepest cog railway in the world runs from Alpnachstad to Pilatus Kulm. The company also includes five restaurants and two hotels, four souvenir shops and the largest rope park in Central Switzerland. It is part of the strategy of PILATUS-BAHNEN AG to offer all tourism services from a single source. Around 60% of operating income comes from the “Transport” division. PILATUS-BAHNEN AG has a diverse mix of guests. During the peak season, over 250 employees work enthusiastically to support national and international guests at Pilatus, enabling exciting mountain experiences with a guaranteed heart-pounding experience.

 

starting position

The PILATUS-BAHNEN AG printer environment turned out to be very heterogeneous. A wide variety of printers from the Sharp, HP, OKI and Brother brands were used. A total of 29 printers were in use, with only around 50% connected to the LAN and the other half connected locally. Due to the heterogeneity of the printers, toner management was inefficient and cost-intensive. In addition, certain printers (such as two larger multifunctional devices) had reached their life cycle and had to be replaced from a technical perspective.

Solution

Within the redIT team, we discussed the information available to us and, taking into account the known background and facts, created an adequate offer for printing services. Introduction of automated toner management

This contract model guarantees the customer complete automation of toner and consumables shipping. All devices in the network are monitored via the HP DCC software installed by the customer. Toner will be shipped on time directly by HP, directly to the correct location. Thanks to the precise labeling of the toners, employees on site can assign them to the correct device. Only original HP toners are used. which are made from 100% recycled materials.

 

On-site printing and helpdesk

In the so-called MPS contract, the service work is carried out by redIT, which has proven itself to be successful for all of our customers in recent years. redIT's certified technicians will take care of a quick solution or further measures necessary to restore functionality should interruptions occur.
