Wings for Life World Run 2026 in Zug
We were there!🏃♀️🏃➡️
Last Sunday, the Wings for Life World Run in Zug took place again – and six of our employees were at the starting line. Unfortunately, the race sold out extremely quickly again this year, so no more participants could join. On the other hand, it was very gratifying to see so many people giving their all for this good cause.
Well then…the redIT team met at 11:30 a.m. in front of check-in. After getting ready, the last obligatory bathroom break, and lots of anticipation, we headed to the starting line in glorious weather. With over 7000 runners, the atmosphere in Zug was once again fantastic. Our employees ran distances ranging from 5.18 km to a remarkable 23.63 km – a great achievement by everyone involved!💪🏻
After the race, a shuttle brought the runners back to the starting area. There, they enjoyed a well-deserved drink together and watched the live broadcast of the race on the big screen. A perfect end to a sporty and inspiring day for a good cause.
Heartiest congratulations to our runners for their personal commitment and sporting ambition. The performance of Zug's winner, Raphael Josef, was particularly impressive, achieving a remarkable 61.68 km. Worldwide, Jo Fukuda won with a top performance of 78.95 km.
For those unfamiliar with the event: the Wings for Life World Run is much more than just a running event. It's a global charity run that raises funds for spinal cord research. It's organized by the Wings for Life Foundation with the goal of finding more and more cures and treatments for spinal cord injuries.❤️🩹
We are already looking forward to the next race on May 9, 2027!
