New drill-through features available in Power BI Update

The new drill-through functions in Power BI make it even easier to configure and perform data analysis. With just a few clicks, you can navigate through the data hierarchies and gain insight into the necessary data details without losing track.

Interactive charts and visuals are good for getting a quick overview of the current situation. With the right KPI’s you can quickly see where potential problems lie and where you need to go deeper. For further analysis you have to move through the data hierarchies to filter out the relevant basic data. Power BI had been supporting this “drill-through” for a long time, but the setup was complex and the operation was a bit cumbersome. With the new Drill-Through feature, setting up the Drill-Through filters is truly «self-service»and much more intuitive to use, as the user simply controls the function via buttons.
