AI in practice: Our redIT customer event at Baumgartner Fenster
AI is everywhere these days: in newsfeeds, meetings, and strategy papers. But it rarely becomes truly tangible. That was precisely the goal of our customer event on May 21st this year: Don't just explain AI, make it tangible.
For this purpose, we were guests at our customer's premises. Baumgartner WindowsAn ideal location for an evening full of inspiration, exchange and concrete practice.
A successful start
The afternoon began in a relaxed atmosphere with coffee and sweets. Our guests took the opportunity for initial conversations and personal exchanges.
Following a welcome address by our Managing Director and owner, Andreas Kleeb, a tour of the Baumgartner Fenster facilities was given. Participants gained fascinating insights into the processes and daily work on site.
Special thanks go to Baumgartner Fenster for their hospitality. On behalf of the company, we would like to thank Beat Schlund, who represented them that evening, and Stefan Baumgartner, who made the event possible for Baumgartner.
A perfect starting point to show where innovation begins in everyday life.

AI between vision and reality
The first presentation brought things into sharper focus. Rados Djokic from HP impressively demonstrated how companies can make the leap from idea to productive use. His topic made it clear that AI is far more than just a hype.
Fabio Bonolo, Team Lead Productivity at redIT and Microsoft MVP, then took the participants on a journey through the company's daily operations. He demonstrated how we at redIT actively use AI and, in particular, drive the implementation of Microsoft Copilot.
The look at our own experiences as well as our real customer projects was particularly exciting:
👉 Introduction of Microsoft 365 Copilot at Sport-Thieme
👉 Copilot Agents at ELEKTRON
This made it clear how AI is already creating real added value today.

Test AI yourself instead of just listening.
After the presentations, the focus shifted from listening to experiencing. The reception was dedicated to networking, conversation, and new ideas. At the same time, guests had the opportunity to try out AI for themselves.
At our Use Case Station, participants were able to test specific use cases with Microsoft Copilot. Our Productivity Team had prepared a demo environment with twelve practical scenarios from the Microsoft world, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
On-site, our Solution Consultant Pascal Schweingruber, with support from James Leadbeater and Fabio Bonolo, accompanied the participants, answered questions, and assisted with hands-on activities. This transformed theory into real-world experience.
From business to superhero
…and because an event should not only be informative but also entertaining, there was another highlight: our AI photo station.
Using a specially developed script, our guests could transform themselves into superheroes. From classic business attire to a personal avatar with superpowers. A program element that not only created a great atmosphere but also perfectly demonstrated how creatively AI can be used today.

An evening that connects
In the end, one thing remains above all: a successful evening with many exciting conversations, new ideas and concrete approaches to how companies can use AI in everyday life.
We say THANKS to everyone who was there.
And a huge thank you to our team who made this event possible.
We're already looking forward to next year.
