Visiting the Swiss aircraft pioneer
Our customer, the Pilatus aircraft works AG, opened the gates for us and our customers yesterday. We were able to hold our annual customer event in Stans. This aroused great interest because the event included, among other things, a tour of the aircraft manufacturer's “holy halls”. We were very pleased that so many of our customers showed up!
At the start there was a little surprise visible in the sky on the roof terrace at Pilatus. Yesterday the last Swiss Mirage took off on its final flight. About 60 years ago, around 60 of these aircraft were purchased by Switzerland. Now he's going into his well-deserved retirement!
After this eventful start, things started with a few words of welcome from redIT and Pilatus. Then the highlight: the tour through the halls of the Swiss aircraft manufacturer. It was really impressive what the guides reported on the various stations. These were mostly “Pilatus pensioners” and of course some exciting stories have come together over the years. Accordingly, everyone listened intently.
Guided through various departments, we finally ended up in the hall with the PC-12NGX and PC-24 aircraft. One or the other was hooked. Just one floor above this hall we moved on to the next item on the program, the lectures. Our system engineer, Matthias Lüber, started with the topic of “Modern Communication”, then the manufacturer HP presented the latest in “Workplace Management” and finally Gerhard Nigg spoke about “simple” automation solutions.
After the impressive Pilatus tour and the informative part of the presentations, we went to dinner. A few cozy hours with a delicious dinner and good conversation. We would like to thank our customer, Pilatus Flugzeugwerke AG, for making the customer event possible for us and we look forward to further cooperation! We are also looking forward to welcoming our customers in person again soon.
