Following Zug 2019 and Pratteln 2022, redIT became the official IT partner of the Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Festival for the third time in 2025 – this year in Mollis. As a wreath partner, we supported this unique major event not only with ideas but also with concrete IT services and expertise.
The ESAF is far more than a sporting event: It combines tradition with modern organization, attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors, and requires the highest level of professionalism in its preparation and execution – including in the digital realm. redIT contributed to the smooth running of the event with comprehensive IT services. Our contribution included the planning, construction, and operation of the network infrastructure, the provision of clients and printers, and a proven, specially developed accreditation solution.

When computer science simply works
At the ESAF 2025 Glarnerland+, the focus wasn't on the technology – but on Swiss wrestling. And that was precisely the goal of the IT department: to provide everything in such a way that it was invisible, reliable, and available at all times. Behind the scenes, a dedicated team, together with strong partners, ensured that one of Switzerland's largest sporting events ran smoothly: from the administrative office and accreditation to media, security, and ranking systems. The IT worked. Period.
Trust in what has proven successful – courage to embrace simplicity
Building on the experiences gained at the ESAF 2019 in Zug, the IT concept for Mollis was further developed in a targeted manner. Clear principles such as "As simple as possible, as much as necessary"The deliberate decision to forgo a dedicated app and focus on encapsulated service modules created clarity, stability and freedom – precisely where it was needed.
A net that carries
With an intelligently planned fiber optic backbone, clean coordination with the electrical sector and a great deal of foresight in the planning, an infrastructure was created that not only met the requirements but also withstood spontaneous additional needs – from setup to the last day of the festivities.
The website as a digital business card
All information was managed centrally via the event website – technically planned, implemented, and operated by redIT. The result speaks for itself: millions of hits, extreme peak loads, and yet consistently stable performance. The platform held up – quietly, reliably, and without interruption. Exactly as it should be!

redIT at ESAF – IT in action for a smooth festival
Andreas Kleeb has been contributing his IT experience to the Swiss Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Festival (ESAF) since 2015. He was a member of the core organizing committee of the successful ESAF 2019 in Zug, which set new standards in the wrestling world. Since 2021, he has again been a member of the core organizing committee, this time for the ESAF 2025 Glarnerland+ in Mollis. This event is based in many respects on the successful Zug concept – and will set a new benchmark at the end of August 2025 against the stunning backdrop of the Glarus mountains. Andreas Kleeb received significant on-site support from Fridli Jacober of the Conet company in the canton of Glarus.
As head of the IT department, he is responsible for the development and secure operation of the entire IT infrastructure – from planning and installation to smooth operation during the festival weekend.
Tasks range from evaluating, planning, and organizing the organizing committee's entire IT needs to ensuring uninterrupted operation during the event. These include:
- Operation of the office IT and electronic data storage
- Support for helper tool, printing center and communication systems
- Accreditation support with over 4,000 badges
- Construction of a high-availability network for security, media, television signal transmission and billing systems
- Conception and implementation of the highly available event website (peak load: up to 1.8 million simultaneous accesses)
- Organization of Wi-Fi, mobile phone amplification and information systems on the festival grounds
- Operation of VIP, media and printing infrastructure directly on site
The implementation of this major technical responsibility was carried out by redIT together with specialized partner companies from the event and trade fair sector.
Thanks to careful planning and a high level of professionalism, the IT department runs reliably in the background – ensuring that an event of this size can take place smoothly.

ESAF 2025 in Mollis – unforgettable moments with our customers
What a weekend! The 2025 Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Festival in Mollis exceeded all expectations – and we were privileged to experience this unique festival together with our customers for two days.
During the day, the thrilling competitions in the Glarnerland Arena took center stage – from the opening round to the final round. The evening continued in the Pragel Festival tent: good conversations, warm encounters, and a convivial get-together rounded off the days perfectly. Refreshments were also provided throughout – from breakfast to the late-night festival program, no wish was left unfulfilled.
A sporting highlight: Armon Orlik crowned himself the new wrestling king – a historic decision. But it wasn't just the sport that gave us goosebumps; the atmosphere throughout the Glarus region was simply fantastic. Up to half a million visitors turned the ESAF 2025 into a festival of superlatives, impressively combining tradition, Swiss culture, and community.

Countdown to ESAF 2025 – We are ready!
In about two weeks, the time has come: Switzerland's largest wrestling and Alpine festival will stop in Glarus. 29. to 31. August 2025 Mollis transforms into a hotspot for wrestling fans from all over Switzerland – and we're right in the middle of it all. The ESAF will be officially opened on August 08th at 20:30 a.m. sharp with the Swiss national anthem. Glarus is already bustling with activity – the festival grounds are currently being set up, giving an idea of the scale of this major event.
As official IT partner We secure the IT infrastructure of the ESAF and ensure that everything runs smoothly – from the first festival visitor to the final ranking. Furthermore, we support the ESAF as wreath partner and we look forward to spending two unforgettable days with our customers.
The anticipation of the exciting duels in the sawdust, the festive atmosphere, and the unique encounters is huge. We were already able to experience the ESAF up close in our home canton of Zug in 2019 – an unforgettable experience that still inspires us today.
