2 new Teams functions

1. Put yourself in the spotlight

Organizers and speakers can now spotlight multiple people in a meeting so that their videos and profile pictures are pinned and stay pinned for everyone to see. It’s like pinning it for everyone in the session. If you’re an organizer, you can select up to seven people’s video feeds (including your own) to set this for everyone else in the meeting.

Notes:

  • You cannot bring a video to the foreground when the view is set to ”Large Catalog” or ”Together mode”.

  • If you record a meeting where a person’s video is recorded, the video will not be recorded in the recording. However, this is only a temporary limitation – we’ll keep you up to date with updates.

Video of another person in focus – There are different ways to do this:

  1. Option: Right-click the person’s video and select Spotlight from the menu (or add Spotlight if another person is already displayed in the Spotlight).
  2. Option: Select view participants to see a list of all the participants in the meeting. Find the name of the person whose video you want to highlight. Then right-click the person’s name and select Spotlight.
